Are you looking to fill out some fine lines around your eyes?  Or perhaps eliminate the quotation marks between your eyebrows?  How about those parentheses around your mouth?

Our experienced doctors and staff are here to help give you the look of youth.

What Does a Dermal Filler Do?

A dermal filler is injected into an area in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and add volume to your skin.  It can even tighten loose skin.

Most typically, it’s used on the face to eliminate the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

These types of fillers have a very specific function and that is to plump up your facial skin so any folds or sags disappear.  But this treatment is not the same as Botox.

Dermal fillers are used specifically to plump and smooth your skin.  It does not cause the underlying muscles to stop contracting like Botox does.

Do patients occasionally use both treatments?  Yes and very successfully.

Why You Should Consider Derma Fillers

Is there anything on the market today besides injectables that will help you reverse lines or saggy skin?  There are no skin care regimens that can work the magic that it dermal filler can.

Don’t get us wrong.  Great skin care is an absolute must.  The problem is that, as you age, muscle movements and gravity as well as overexposure to the sun can cause your skin to look far older than you want it to.

Using a dermal filler with a reputable doctor will give you your youth back.

Are you finished dropping money on so called “lifting” creams?  Some of our clients have used those because they’re not happy with the thought of having an injection into their face.  But dermal fillers we’ll give you the result you’re looking for and will last anywhere from months to years.

Which Dermal Filler is Best?

The best filler will really depend on your needs and your doctor’s skill.  All fillers have risks even though they are rare.

Synthetic vs. Natural Fillers

Using a naturally-derived filler will give you a smaller risk of reaction.  The results of the filler are immediate but last only 3 to 18 months because eventually it does break down.

Once the filler starts to degrade, you will need to go back in and get more filler to maintain the look you want.

Synthetic fillers, on the other hand, last much longer and are actually considered semi-permanent.  The wrinkles start to return only because your face continues to age or you may continue to lay out in the sun and damage your skin.  Because synthetic fillers are considered semi-permanent, potential problems can be harder to correct.

The major issue when you use the dermal filler is treatment longevity and the possibility of migration or lumping under the skin.  That’s why you need our experienced doctors who have exceptional injection techniques.
